Thundelarra Exploration has started rotary air blast and reverse circulation drilling at its wholly owned Curara Well copper and gold project in the Gascoyne Province, Western Australia.

The program of 150 holes totalling 5,000 meters will test a number of geochemical copper anomalies located within proximity of the Jenkins Fault Zone. The holes averaging 50 meters will test the bedrock geochemistry with the flexibility to allow deeper reverse circulation holes to assess any prospective geological and geochemical occurrences encountered.

Curara Well has poor outcrop and has seen little past exploration. Work carried out by Thundelarra to date has located prospective structures and prospective volcanic and meta sedimentary rocks displaying volcanogenic massive sulphide style alteration along the inferred DeGrussa Trend which appears to be sub parallel to the Jenkins Fault Zone.

Previous airborne electromagnetic survey has delineated a distinct marker horizon interpreted to be the eastern extension of the DeGrussa stratigraphy. Curara Well is located in the Doolgunna region just 2.5 kilometers north and eastwards from Sandfire Resources DeGrussa copper and gold mine.
